How You Decided Your Blogs Name?

I have been trying to keep up with the 30 Day Blog Challenge posted on “Life With Grace and Beauty”. Although, with work other writing commitments it has been quite difficult. Today’s topic is… “How You Decided Your Blogs Name.”

The title Live, Love, Share came naturally and is a mantra I hold dear. Here is a little insight into what it means to me.

Live because life has not always been a picnic for me. It has had its ups and its downs, but through it all, I always seemed to be optimistic. I live life to the fullest and appreciate each day because even in your darkest hour there is a glimmer of light. I want to share that light and encourage others to live and enjoy every moment.

Love is who I am. I like to spread the joy that is in my heart. A smile, an encouraging word, hugs, or a corny joke to make someone laugh are all symbols of love to me. In this cruel world, we live in today you cannot spread too much love. We need more of it!!!

Share is not about showing appreciation on social media. Unfortunately, that is the first thing that comes to mind for most people. Regarding my blog I share my love of writing, my views on different topics, my trials, and tribulations, things that make me happy and sad.

When it is all said and done, my blog is meant to be one that anyone can relate to. So far, I think I’m doing okay. I want to say “Thank You” to all who follow, like and comment on my blog.

Monday Motivation- 🎼Music🎼

For many of us Monday’s usually suck. Returning to work after a nice calm and relaxing weekend can be really frustrating. New deadlines, articles to write, work left over from the prior week, etc.  You’re either pulling your hair out by 10 or praying for your lunch hour to quickly approach😣. Well, one thing I do to remain calm is tune in to my happy😊 music. I decided to shake things up a bit!!! One thing to know about me is the fact that I love music of all kinds. So #mondaymotivation on my blog will be music. It may not always be motivational but it will move you. If you like it, awesome if not just say… “no way Josea”. LOL!!! Feel free to share your musical interests with me as well.

This share is from one of my favorite bands ‘Rascal Flatts’, called “Banjo”.

Re- Evaluate Thy Self!

Recently, I wrote a post “Where in The World is Lydia.” It was in response to a few Facebook chat and email inquiries as to my whereabouts. I had been so busy that blogging, commenting or writing took a seat way in the back of the bus of life. What grabbed my attention was a comment by Christy Birmingham of Poetic Parfait and When Women Inspire, a great poet, and blogger. However, I digress, Christy stated: “I enjoyed getting learning more about you personally and your daily life.” That statement played over and over again in my head. It is time to reveal more of who I am.

Boring, boring. OMG!!! BORING!!!

I perused my blog to take inventory of my posts. What I found was a woman who was passionate about certain topics but most of all a workaholic. I am either promoting the work of others or writing about what I do for a living. Also an occasional rant about what is going on in America. I pride myself on being transparent and friends who know me compliment me on that quality. Although, my blog does not reveal that the way I want or planned. Hell, the title is Live, Love, Share! I am representing my anthem of life on such an average level. Through my eyes, that is an epic fail!

Re- Evaluate Thy Self!

Maybe I am acting a little melodramatic.  Not so much an evaluation of myself but more so of my blog content. I want my blog to be me! The woman who friends call or come to when they need an ear, want just to hang out and sip wine and watch a chick flick, watch sports, go to an art gallery,  or play the PlayStation and be loud and obnoxious. There are many facets to who I am and I love it. So do others and you would too. So why not write about it?

Live, Love, Share

I live and love, so I want to share more. No, I do not plan to hang out dirty laundry. I live in Atlanta but not like those on “Housewives of Atlanta.” My nerves would not withstand all the drama. LOL!!! I would say I am more like Lorelai on the “Gilmore Girls”  minus the child and profession. I love her! I live and think outside the box. My mind is open enough to transcend boundaries we as people place on ourselves. Life to me is an adventure, so why not enjoy it. So, stay tuned for more content with a healthy helping of a spice called Lydia.

“Happy Easter”

church-784770_1280

I wanted to take time out to wish all of my followers and readers a safe and very blessed Easter.Let’s remember to take time out to pray for those who are less fortunate. Those in Belgium and around the world who are in mourning. Let’s remember the real reason for this day. To me that is… Live the best life we can! Love all people! Share as often as possible even if it is just a good word or a smile. Have a Happy and Safe Easter!!!

Why should I blog?

What are your reasons for blogging? I blog to educate, entertain and to promote my writing and the writings of others.

Count the Blessings: The Network Effect of Sharing

How often do you take the time to like the work of your followers? Do you follow back those who follow you? There is good Karma in sharing the content of others!!! Take time to read this awesome and informative article by Marilyn Davis.

Time to Write!!!

It has been a while since I have “Shared” from the heart with my followers. Lately, everything has been work related with a some tidbits of “Life”. Today, I decided it’s time to “sit on the couch”. LOL!!! I think I have said before blogging here is like therapy for me. My followers are like family and psychiatrist!!! When I visit the blogs of my followers, I have the ability to be educated, escape, collaborate and laugh.

I want to thank all of my followers for all the likes and tweets. Due to your support I gained another client for my virtual assisting business. As many of you know writing and virtual assisting are the love of my life. Writing is my first “Love”!!! I have had a void in my life over the last two weeks due to being so busy with virtual assisting. Writing satisfies my creative side and is very therapeutic for me, no matter what type of writing I’m doing. Don’t get me wrong… I love what I do! I just have not had a writing assignment which I love. Christy Birmingham of “Poetic Parfait” and “When women Inspire” requested a guest post for her “When Women Inspire” blog. That filled the void for a few days. Monday another dear friend Marilyn Davis, an editor and writer requested that I write about “Writing”. I’m currently working on that now and I’m having fun creating the post for the blog “Two Drops of Ink“. I guess what I really needed was to reach out to my followers. I felt as if I was neglecting my blog and my followers. Although, my following is small I cherish you all.

I’m happy to have such loyal and dedicated supporters. I’m also happy to share the news of a new client due to my followers. My business is growing and that makes me even more happy.

Happyday

A Reason to Care…

I Love to support others. From speaking overseas to girls about the dangers of human trafficking. Supporting awareness about bullying, to educating about autism. Every month there is a cause to support, a reason to care and be concerned.

My reason for supporting such causes is simple. Everyone deserves a voice, everyone at some point has or will need someone else. Even if it is just a blog post, the purchase of a t- shirt or bracelet.

I don’t have children and even though I adore them, I don’t see any in my future.  I continue to educate myself on subjects of the sort. As an aunt or a friend, I may detect something in a child I’m often in contact with. Whether at church, family or friends home etc.

Parents are not perfect nor should we expect them to be. I have often said… “Parents should spend more time with their children and get more involved.” I have been taking more time to observe the lifestyle of family and friends with children. Single parent families and families with both parents. I must say, it is hard! Through first hand observation and asking questions about an average day, finances, etc. Single parent families have it much harder.

The student to teacher ratio is ridiculous! We cannot expect them to detect and a variety of emotional, learning and other issues with so many personalities in one class. I agree we need more teachers but we also need to pay them more. The salary a teacher receives is not even close to what they deserve (I digress, that is another post all together).

As a person who loves to speak up for others, I will continue to educate myself and others.
