Happy Chinese New Year 2017!!! This year is the year of the rooster which will end February 15, 2018. In Chinese culture celebrations begin the day before the New Year and continue for 15 days. On day 15 the Lantern Festival will mark the end of the new year celebration.
What I found interesting is the Chinese zodiac is like ours, containing the twelve houses. The Chinese houses last a year whereas the houses of our Western zodiac only last a month. According to Western culture my zodiac sign is the goat. Yes, I am a Capricorn!!! I find that the characteristics of my sign are spot on. I researched to find out what my sign would be in Chinese culture and as it turns out I am the snake. The characteristics of the snake are intelligence, intuition, and wisdom. You will find us to be thoughtful, private ad very ambitious; we hate failure. We don’t say much but we can articulate our thoughts, feelings and beliefs well. All of which fit my personality!!! What’s your Chinese zodiac sign?
Those who are characterized as rooster have reason to celebrate. This year is YOUR year!!! If you are a rooster, you are honest, energetic, intelligent, flexible and confident. These are just a few of your personality traits. To find out more visit this “Chinese New Year” link. Happy Chinese New Year!!!
